WSOTM volume 13

A lot has happened since the last compilation. For instance, De Vogels broke up…
On the one hand, this slowed down the production of audiostuff suitable for this site.
On the other hand, lot’s of new projects spawned from it.
Some of these you’ll hear on this new compilation for November 2006.

01. EEN GECONCRETISEERDE COLLAGE
by Rufus Ketting and Jeroen Rozendaal. This was one of the many fragments that were recorded during the first sessions of Sonic Spocht (AKA De Humobisten). It never made the original edit.

02. BLACKA BLACKA TIN TIN WALTZ
by De Vogels. Just before they broke up there was an unsuccesful attempt to record an album,
but this 11 minute outtake does remind you why De Vogels were and still are a great band…

03. INTERMEZZO 02
by Holland Electric. This was one of the last miniatures recorded for the never made film by Janneke Baken.

04. ARABISCHE SLAPSTICK
by Rufus Ketting and Jeroen Rozendaal. This pre-recorded track was madefor the ROTJONG
theater productino ‘Vandaag en vandaag’. The other tracks were played live. During the live sessions,
Vinnie Foewakka Milena, and Bart Mono also joined in.

05. RED
by Room 101. Possibly one of the few ‘Ballads’ recorded by the band. I stumbled in on it laterly
en re-enjoyed it. Originally released on the Battery Powered Electric Fishjuice Maker demo.

06. STRINGS01 (Version)
by Hidde, Roel and Jeroen. One of a series of guitar experiments in by basement with ex-vogel
Fritura and side-vogel Hidde van Schie.

07. WAT WATER WEET
by Ruben van Gogh and Jeroen Rozendaal. An audio collage based on the poem by Ruben van
Gogh to accompany the animation by Sander Alt.

08. BELLE
by Goldberg (AKA Hidde van Schie). Again a beautiful minitiature from Hidde. Can’t get enough
of these traxx. Keep donating.

09. ANALOG
by Holland Electric. A happy song to sing and dance too. Simplified swapping of tunes.
Play loud.

10. DOESCHKA
by Pim van Alten. A short piece of music Pim recorded for a theater play. But haven’t I heard this
tune before… probably an adaption of a song he wrote for Switch.

11. TRY TO LOCK ME DOWN
by P-irie. Another track from the deleted Three Minutes of Panic CD. I have no idea whether this guy
is still rappin’ or not. Anywayz, I though this would be refreshing before you dive into…

12. SONIC SPOCHT V: CASTERMAN EN DE JUWELEN VAN DE PINGUINS
by De Humobisten. I challenge you to listen to this 25 minute pure vocal track in full. (sorry, it is in Dutch).
Originally recorded for the Humobisten exposition during the Museumnacht 2006.
